The Student Assessment Guide and Learning Plan describes the evidence required to be competent in this unit. You can track your progress by comparing it against unit requirements and at every stage of your learning and study. You can also get support from your iTAFE mentor and advisor.

Study Guide
There are many ways that you might choose to make your way through the unit. The diagram and suggested sessions (below) will help to plan your learning through the Participate in work health and safety unit. The sessions outlined below are a suggestion only - you may have another way that you prefer to study.



 Session 1- Follow safe work practices- Blue tiles

• Impacts on workplace regulations

Describe various ways your centre and staff consult to ensure safe work practices?

Session 2 –  Implement safe work practices - Pink tiles

How would you become familiar with your centre's workplace emergency policies and procedures?
What is the organisation that produces guidelines and information for employers and employees regarding WHS legilation in NSW?

Session 4 – Reflect on safe work practices- Orange tiles
• Workplace policies and procedures for WHS
• Stress in the workplace
• WHS training and mentoring

How would you stay up to date with legislation and Regulations associated with WHS?
